Old Farm View holiday cottage is set in a tranquil and picturesque village called Burton Fleming. On the very brink of the The Wolds and the North York Moors, this is an ideal location for spectacular walks. Close by you will also find safe beaches with sweeping golden sands, inundated with marvellous wildlife.

Burton Fleming has a well stocked shop /PO, a village hall with weekly activities including bowling and yoga, and a friendly farm shop offering excellent meat and local food.

There is a church, a chapel and a village hall together with not just one but two duck ponds!

There are lots of wildlife and farm animals to meet here!

Every year the Burton Fleming Scarecrow Festival takes place. There are hundreds of great scarecrows, refreshments, table top sales, a busy market day and a children's quiz to enthrall and charm you.

The village also holds an annual Winter Wonderland event where the houses are fabulously illuminated over the crisp and wintry Christmas period.

Hunmanby is the next village to us, and it has many facilities including a supermarket open til 10 pm. every day, many shops and food establishments, a doctor and a pharmicist, and several pubs with daily food and full entertainment schedules of quizzes, karaoke and live music every week.

The Hunmanby Hall Sport and Leisure Centre offers a Gym, 9 hole golf course, tennis, a walk and many more activities.

There is also a lovely sandy beach at Hunmanby Gap with gorgeous views of Filey and the hundrerds of birds that can be seen on the famous Bempton Cliffs.
